This is getting curiouser and curiouser. I attempted to figure out the first time the lines showed up on usenet, and got hundreds of thousands of hits. Wikiquote shows anonymous attribution (from usenet). Let's find the rascal who first coined the mantra and give him/her due credit. They say Frank Herbert or David Lynch inspired the lines, but clever is the one who can take the words of one master, and popularize them for a world wide community. Good sleuthing.
