Its Amazon that quotes this value to take out the hassles of paying later. Other dealers let the payee deal with this.

I guess from simple ratio of price vs duty on the kindle quoted above the tax may come to 30-35%. Depends on what the seller quotes as the price of the product.
You maybe better off asking someone to personally bring it to you rather.
