I think the compact size and price are a big plus. I bought these for my kids. It supports a wide range of formats but currently the only DRM format supported is PDB. This doesn't bother me because I remove DRM from all of my purchases so I'm able to buy from most every store without worry.

Someone else will have to advise on 6 and 7.
