this is kind of hard to describe accurately but with my prs300 (first reader, two months old, always fully-charged) the way it changes the screen can often change.

when I first start reading it seems to turn the screen black as it brings up the next page. sometimes though (not always but usually after a ~1/2 hour of reading) instead of going mostly all-black it will instead make the current page look like a negative before displaying the next page.

it's kind of like the letters go light and much of the background goes black as opposed to the normal mode where the whole screen goes black.

is this something anyone's familiar with? the speed of page changes is the same for both, it isn't guaranteed this other type of screen change will occur and once it starts doing this it may or may not revert during that session to the 'normal' way. but I don't know if this something about the technology, is a sign the reader/software are going to fail or if it's nothing to worry about.

edit: fwiw I think it started doing this not long after I got it, maybe a few days, could've been a couple weeks, don't really remember for sure.
