I started pretty early, but the first books I really remember enjoying were the Encyclopedia Brown books and the original Hardy Boys books...I know cheese-tastic, but I liked them.

I remember my mom reading me these books called Mournful Mouse, but no one other than myself seems to have ever heard of them. I loved them and managed to track them down to a tiny independent publisher in northern Michigan, where I started out in life...
