Here's what the e-Ink rep says in the video: "In the research lab today, we've been able to make full-color video-rate displays. These have the same flexibility and daylight readability as the black and white displays. But, they won't be in the marketplace until about 3-5 years from now." [emphasis added]

The video of the full-color display showed it doing full-color animation in realtime with no noticable refresh or flicker. I had no idea that video-refresh-rate e-ink technology existed at all! Sure, we might get 1s refresh full-color displays in a year, but to think we'll have video refresh rates in only 3-5 years, that's pretty amazing.
