Hi Beth and welcome to MR. I am sure you will get to love your eReader like the rest of us. The possibility to have the library with you where ever you go and just whip it out of the pocket / bag and read is great. And it's so light to hold compared with a book. And soooo many books that are just not available in print. Many freebies too. For me, a whole new world opened and I am now a total convert.
