I don't know if I like that idea or not. When I see how strongly some Big Oil and Coal companies fight against any regulations that would benefit the environment, and how easily they are able to use their propaganda machine to enlist people into their cause to their own detriment; the idea of humanity's certain destruction is sometimes all that give me hope for the future of the Cosmos!

And who know? Should another species at our level of intelligence ever evolve again on planet Earth, they may learn from our errors!
