We had a pretty busy weekend. Our lot is really wide at the front (120' feet or so) and the front yard looks like a foot ball field, just flat and boring, so we put in an island feature Saturday. Had 5 yards or dirt delivered, got 112 wall stones (not for the island).
We got the island put in, planted a newport plum tree, 2 azalea bushes, and 3 creeping phlox - we put flox in amongst some sandstone pieces we had from the excavation, so we have phlox in the rocks now
In between the rain I got most of the first course of small retaining wall for a backyard butterfly and hummingbird garden put in - I'll finish that tonight. Then over the next few days I'll put in the wall/edging for the front yard beds as well.
I'll get some pictures when the sun comes out again
