Well, lots of things happened on January 13ths. But one from that list stands out-- the 1910 one of course would have had it's 100th anniversary this year. So, obviously, she was referring to "JM Synge's "Deirdre of the Sorrows," premieres in Dublin "

(Sadly, I've read enough post in the lounge to know that the real answer pertains to an odd fixation with a certain murderer who rhymes with "Banana Fox")

(Edited to add that my sadness isn't with the fixation, but with the fact that I read enough posts to know it.)
