Thanks folks! I just posted in another thread that I've had it for a couple of days. It only arrived yesterday and it seems longer because I haven't put it down.

TGS, you are correct! I have an iriver story. I MUCH prefer the 505 so far. I'm afraid my iriver hasn't had a look in.
