Yes, that's pretty much it, but I do it once a year. Every quarter I have to pay an advance based on an estimation.

The thing is, for almost all of my contracts I go through a broker in the U.K., so I bill them and they bill my client. Since they are in the U.K., I don't collect VAT on my sales, but I do recover some on my purchases. So the tax office ends up owing me money. Last year the amount they owed me was too low to get a refund, but this year I should be able to get one, if I understood this correctly.
