Hi Giulia and welcome to Mobileread. Everyone here would probably say Yes, you should buy an ereader! But then we are mostly enthusiasts. The more difficult question is which one - that depends on what your wants and needs are. A good place to start is on the Wiki in this site, which is here. If you have specific questions you could post them on the "Which one should I buy" thread here.
