The bug that runs screencasts online has a pretty good way to solve this... since as you say, new subscribers get access to all the back shows. So, as time goes on he has raised the price to become a new subscriber. The renewal price stays constant as long as you keep your subscription in good standing.

Anyway... just some ideas. I wish you great luck with your self-publishing endeavor.
