Hi Jon, I just put freshly scrubbed epubs on my wife's iPad and they seem to be working just fine. Can you please tell me why iBooks is not a good epub app? Is it the lack of support for embedded fonts? Or are there other factors that lead you to that conclusion?
If "yes" to my first question, how does one determine if an epub contains embedded fonts?
Also - would you happen to know how many epubs (by percentage of epubs available) would have embedded fonts (theoretically leading to issues with iBooks)?
Is there a specific type of publication (such as textbooks) which would be more apt to take advantage of embedded fonts? I'm curious as to why the results with my wife's library have been so very satisfactory. Are we just lucky?
Thanks,
