I also think that the 600 has a very well implemented dictionary. Allthough it only works with American or British English. No other dictionaries available. Hacking into the dictionaries didn't get too far yet. I've heard of problems there.
I think that the kindle with its keyboard should at least provide the ability to search for a word within a dictionary once you found an unknown word in a novel. With that, you could put any language dictionary on it (but look deeper into that if this could be an option as I don't have real experience with the kindle).

I like that I can also look up words on my 600 via on screen keyboard.
