I asked to have it but they immediately refused. I said I wanted to make a piece of jewelry out of it but they refused again. After poking around it seems that it's a new edict from microbiologists that comes from the days of mad cow disease...
I have some explaining to do.
Apparently, from studies of the mad cow disease they found out that the responsible organism is a prion. It's smaller than a bacteria and smaller than a virus. They know that it's also responsible for the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease So far, there's next to nothing known about how to totally control it safely. They're not taking chances and destroy anything that's been inside a body.
