The Gods of Pegana by Lord Dunsany (actually not reading, but just done)

A surprisingly good and entertaining read. The first few pages and you may think “WTF?”, but with each page it grows on you.

"Still from a heap of bones that are Yun-Ilara still, lying
about the ruined base of the tower that once he builded,
goes up a shrill voice with the wind crying out for the mercy
of Mung, if any such there be."
