Spent the morning at the hospital's orthopedic clinic.
They took out my cast, had my leg radiographied, made me a temporary removable cast and gave me a same day appointment to a prosthetics clinic where they made a casting of my leg to make a removeable brace. It should be ready next tuesday. Oh, and they took out the pin that was sticking out. Urgh! All of it covered by the Québec medical system. Pain included...
I asked the doc for a copy of the radiography but he refused; that, they sell... As soon as he got out of the cubicle
I took out my camera and photographed his computer screen, it's on my page. The nurse who was there saw me and said:
"Hey, you'll have to pay for that!" Obviously he was joking but I couldn't resist a joke:
"I was just taking a picture of the cobwebs next to the screen."
He felf serious and when he looked to inspect, I just broke off laughing and so did he.
I still can't put any weight on the leg but at least I can remove the cast/brace and wash the dead skin off and I can start on light slow movements for now. I'm just happy it's not a closed cast again. My calf muscle athophied to mabout half its trained size. :sigh: I've got to rebuild it all...
