That will "really turn it off" and the battery won't drain beyond the natural discharge. When you're back, you'll just have to wait a bit longer for it to boot.
So if I connect my reader to my computer via USB and run Connect, get the do not disconnect screen, wait like a minute and then eject the reader so it's ok to disconnect that will save all the last read pages and any bookmarks? So what is it doing to save them and why would I lose them?
