I am trying to remember the guys name, but he did say he had evidence there was one. It was very recent though, and stinking google is only giving me 2012 stuff. I will have to find it, because I never thought it was true either. But his evidence was pretty good and all scientific (as he didn't believe it himself). Let me do more digging.
Ok Adam Maloof, and it was in 2006.
he believes it happened 800 million years ago. he was mostly debunking this 2012 theory when doing the research.
