Unfortunatelly the picture is not very satisfactory. It is true that one can not expect much by this resolution. OCR is good idea but most of the books Im going to read include algorithms and other unusual objets which will not be processed correctly by OCR.
Dou you think it will help if I convert the picture into PDF in black and white and than process it through programs such as PDFrasterFarian 2.1.6 ??

Actually, if you set it up properly for a page size of 90X120mm or 120X90mm page size then you'll be able to use PDF without too much of an issue.
