so? does that prove anything? i've been buying apple products since the 70's and spent into six figures. i own stock in apple (and dell, and ibm, and hp, and microsoft and a number of other companies) doesn't make me any better than anyone else on this forum, none of us

As to "helping," you did not provide answers, you only made excuses and extolled the virtues of iTunes and iPhoto.

well. you
inaccurately implied you can't import non-apple content. i pointed out that you can. you inaccurately stated there were no non-apple ways to import or export content. i pointed out how you can go about that too. i think those were valid answers to your questions. and if you read my
post here i have plenty of problems with itunes.

I merely pointed out that both have serious shortcomings, when compared with other methods of content management.

you see them as shortcomings. others do not. if you don't like the available options, do something about it and write your own software. complaining doesn't solve problems.

I like many things about Apple, but do not like the direction they are pushing with the i-ecosystem.

yes. you've said this
many times. as i pointed said previously, vote with your wallet, stop buying apple products. email steven jobs and voice your displeasure. buy stock in apple and vote with your shares.

If you really have an answer relating to how to import non-DRM content from two or more computers onto the same i-device with updated OS, please tell, and I'll happily say "thank you."

jail break your 3.1.3 devices. load up your media files into the file structure. use MPlayer or vlc4iphone (available via Cydia) to play your mp3 files. you're welcome.

P.S. You did notice that the title of the thread where we are currently debating is "Boston Herald Bashes iPad," right?
|
yes. did you? maybe you should take your DRM/iTunes/iPhoto complaints to another thread, or better yet, another forum.

i'm done with this thread.
