hate to say it but if you look at apple's pricing history they tend not to drop prices on their products. what they will do is establish a price point and then improve the product when they refresh it. faster cpu, more memory, increased graphics and storage, but same price tag. the 2g iphone drop was a rare occurrence.
i expect next year's ipad model to have the same prices, just more memory, a forward facing camera, faster cpu. don't hope for internal SD slot or a lower price.
