Yeah, the iPad is VERY close to my needs. Just falls short in:

1. No file management system. It's just too much of a pain in the ass to get PDFs and other documents on it, organize them, have them accessible to all apps that support that file type etc.

2. Going along with that--no drag and drop. iTunes sucks for anything other than music or movies.

3. Screen is a tad small. An extra 1" or so would be a big help with A4 PDFs

4. Would like built in stylus support for document mark up.

So the iPad came close, but I'll wait and see what other tablets come out, what the 2nd gen iPad looks like etc. I really want something that matches the form factor, ease of use (UI etc.), battery life etc, but has a full file system, drag and drop etc.

I'm not big on early adopting things anyway. You just pay a premium to get less features and more bugs. So I usually wait for 2nd or 3rd gen products.
