I love my iPad more and more. A short time with it will not tell the tale. Or rather, my second week with it is much better than my first 2 days.

Of course, if I already had a kindle dx, and I was only interested in reading, I wouldn't buy an iPad. For me it's been an excellent reader, but I wouldn't buy it just for that. I've watched movies and tv shows, played games, surfed th web, shared my photos with others. I have to fight my kids to get time on it. I'm writing this on the iPad now as I watch the County Music awards.

As I traveled to relatives this weekend, with my wife driving....I killed time watching cooking video podcasts that I had downloaded for free before we left.

I'm on my fourth ebook in two weeks. I've read for hours at a time, and my eyes are fine. I don't have super eyes or anything like that. I've never liked reading books on my laptop.
