even though I was born and raised in Colorado, we moved to Alaska when I was 6 weeks old and stayed until I was 5. linguistically Alaska can resemble western Canada enough that I guess it made its mark on me. no matter where I go in the US or Europem whenever I'm around well traveled people I'm asked if I am Canadian. which is funny because to me they have an accent as well!
