I just noticed this statement in the Wikipedia article on the Tidewater region of Virginia:

"The Tidewater accent is a distinctive dialect of American English spoken in this region."

I just want y'all to know that this is a misnomer. We don't have accents in Tidewater.

Everyone else does.
