enivrant is precisely what i wanted to say with "intoxicating". deauville or trouville is not so far from paris, you can take the train there for the day and come home in the evening, and i always promise myself i'll go for a day in the summer if i've got no plans to go away. unfortunately the summer here the past few years has been pretty erratic and it's hard to plan more than 1 or 2 days in advance and count on good weather. and it would be too depressing to go all the way there, and find it's raining.
so i've still not gone. maybe this year.
