I have varifocal glasses after my reading glasses weren't good enough anymore. It took me more than a month to get used to it. Sometimes I have problems with them when driving and then I simply take them off because for large distances I have strength 0. In the beginning I also had a lot of trouble and I even went back to the optometrist and that did a new measurement which came out the same. Therefore I persisted until I got used to them. There is, however, a small percentage of people that will never get used to it.
