In my case, I like to have a choice, and have the books as easy to reach and as independent from the Net as possible. So I keep books on hard drive, and load as many as I can on e-reader.
If I planned to read every one of them, I'd be getting frustrated that I don't have much choice when almost all are read, and would probably stop reading them completely, as there would be many books I added to collection on the whim and don't really have much of a desire to read.
