Hello! Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My name is Kait Nolan. I'm the proud owner of a Nook (and an iPhone that I actually use a lot for reading).
I don' think I'll ever give up dead tree books, but I definitely love having access to LOTS in one small package! Ebooks are awesome for those of us living in small towns without decent bookstores. Two words: instant gratification.
I'm also a big fan of ebooks from an author's standpoint. With sellers like Amazon and Smashwords allowing authors to deal directly with them, they are able to eliminate the middle man and provide inexpensive ebooks to consumers and still receive a considerably higher royalty rate--good for everyone! It also allows a relative unknown like myself to put out a cheap read to start building an audience.
