What a coincidence that you mention fighting chickens, because just this Tuesday, we visited an uncle up in my childhood 2nd home (grandparents' farm). It is a chicken-loving place, with a big Tyson chicken plant and seems like every farm has a stinky chicken house.

It has been a decade since we were up there, and I was surprised to find that every other farm had a field of fighting rooster houses. They are raised in their own individual fence enclosures with a single chicken "dog house" sort of shelter, so you can't miss or mistake it for anything else.

Must be big money in it, because people were even using their front yards to keep them in.

I think it is barbaric, but I know a lot of people are hooked on it. Blood games, old school style (ancient Roman).
