You don't say It felt rather tacked on, but the romance aspect doesn't interest me so much anyway, so it was fine with me. I think I read chick-lit for the humour, and I seem to prefer the British/Irish authors (not that I have read more than 2 or 3 chick-lit books in the last few years).
