KK is right, if you're going to into the military you'll get much more out of it by going active duty, it is more stable, you'll get to use what you learned more often and in more situations, and you'll develop the camaraderie and friendships that make a deployment much more enjoyable.

Most of my time was in the reserves and you can really see the difference from going once a month and being activated for a year.
