As Fictionwise has been gutted, I don't know for sure and have no good way of comparing what prices were before and are now.
I guess I will be buying fewer books without Micropay burning a hole in my pocket.
In the end, I hope to see back catalog works get cheaper, which, for me, are about 80% of by wish list. We'll see.
I'll vote with my wallet like everyone else. I have already bought a couple of $12.99 books, because I wanted them and can't stand hardback books anymore. Hardback books remind me of my daughter's board books. What, are the publishers afraid I am going to chew on the new Jim Butcher novel*?
*I have chew marks on the corner of my nook, from my cat.
