I think the number on the right indicates the actual book mark number. Try generating bookmarks beyond 9 and see what happens. The numbers on the left are the corresponding button needed to be pressed to select that bookmark. On the JB I can select a bookmark by either it's corresponding button number on the left or use the down/up arrow to box the bookmark and then press enter to select it.
Numbers on the left correspond to the button and number on the right to the bookmarks number. On the JB/JBL thye left number is both the bookmark number as well as the action button number. Bookmarks beyond 8 move to another page. It also is a push down system. The latest bookmark is at the top, the oldest at the end of the page stream. The JB/JBL appear to give more info than the Libre per bookmark.
