Yeah, i didn't mean to imply that netbooks are useless. I see why people like them.
They just do nothing for me as I prefer having a laptop as my only home computing option. Loathe desktops after spending 50+ hours at my work desk per week, so I like not even having a desk at home!
But netbooks are useful for many, especially if you have a desktop at home and just want something really light to use in other places for web browsing etc.
The weight never bothers me much with my laptop. It's a little over 5lbs which is no big deal when traveling. When I get an iPad or other tablet I'll mainly just use that for traveling, with exception of business trips, conferences etc. where I need my laptop to do work.
