It's all about calories in vs calories burned. So, eating high quality low calories no fat food is the secret to the Eat To Live book. Actually, it is no secret that most people won't want to follow the diet it proposes.

Very true. My best results have come via portion size control of food I normally eat. I serve up my usual portion size and put at least 1/4 -1/3 back before I sit down at the table. And I stopped buying ALL salty junk food - I have absolutely no self-control with Doritos, etc once the bag is open. If it ain't in the house, I can't eat it.

This past winter's abnormally cold & wet weather had reduced my activity level greatly with resulting tightness in the trouser waist band. Once I could get out and walk/work in the yard, the trousers got more comfortable.
