Hi again
Some questions about finding the best format for the Aluratek Libre I got tonight. If I cannot resolve them, I may exchange it for a Sony Pocket even though it's more expensive...
1) Mobi which was natively mobi e.g. multiformat books from Fictionwise look great and allow the font to be justified. No complaints.
2) However, mobi which was converted to mobi from HTML (e.g. from liberated secure eReader cleaned up to proper HTML) looks terrible. It seems to be removing ALL the line breaks! Why? Why is it not looking like a proper mobipocket as it does on my Kindle and other devices? Any fix?
3) That said, searching out the original HTML and loading it seems to make it look normal again. But this is much more labour intensive as Calibre stores everything in archives and I have to extract them and sometimes fiddle with the file name (e.g. some are HTML, some are XHTML and I don't know why). I would prefer to be able to load the mobipocket, but it does not seem to be displaying properly, as I said.
4) epub there seems to be no command to justify the text. Is this a Firmware issue? Should I be upgrading from the Firmware it came with?
5) Gutenberg, Manybooks, Feedbooks, here. Best format to download? I want it to look nice with proper line breaks and ability to justify text (cannot stand ragged edges!)
So...best format to use? Any way to solve my line break issue on HTML which has been converted to mobi? I am not clear on why these don't display like a proper file.
