I'm not spending the money twice. I'm spending it once, and I am willing to do so to add an ebook to my ebook library. I do not buy books that I just want to read; that's what the public library is for. I buy ebooks for my ebook library that I want to own
until the end of time. I cannot do that if I buy the books from Connect.
