To revisit, I did this again and you definitely get the full ESPN.com sight on the iPad when you select that, no difference from what is on a laptop, videos work etc. As expected, the ESPN360 streaming video site doesn't work, maybe they'll put out an app for that.
I also checked CNN.com again, full version there as well, and videos work.
So again, the lack of Flash on it doesn't bother my browsing experience too much. Right now just lack of ESPN360, facebook games, and Fox/NBC shows (until the Hulu app is out, and or a Fox app comes out). Not ideal, but not the deal breaker I expected.
So a 2nd gen iPad is a strong possibility for me if there's not an Android based (or other) tablet out that impresses me out by the time of the 2nd gen launch.
