It's a lot milder than regular mustard (if by regular you mean what we call English). It does work quite well with mayonnaise and olive oil as a dressing for pasta salad, but you do need rather a lot of it to get much taste (the yeti got some to try with salt beef recently - neither of us like it as a mustard, so we're trying to think of ways of using it so we don't end up binning it and chalking it up to experience)
