I've been a fan of dealing with the Devil tales since the original Twilight Zone TV show of the late 50s-early 60s. Would you mind telling us a bit more about this story?
She mention her husband has been in the war in Germany - you might have assumes unconsciously she meant ww2 and not 1.

Please dont talk too much about 'Johannes Cabal' wothout spoiler tags please I havent read it yet
