Its not a novel. It is a journal of an illiterate man who spent 32 years living in the wilds of Victoria with Aborigines.

More of a history lesson if you are really interested.

I just finished it and the second half of the book is a whole lot of(mostly quite broring) appendices that you flip through until you find something interesting.
