1.) It is a very tired old concept that you aren't allowed to share an opinion on an area unless you are in that field-- usually trotted out by those who don't like your opinion on that area.

So when given the choice between the deaths of innocent bystanders and the deaths of soldiers, I prefer the deaths of soldiers. If it takes more soldiers dying to better prevent "collateral damage", I think that is a high price to pay, but a fair one-- that is what they signed up for.
