I wouldn't mind a tablet such as the ipad for pdf markups, but I would keep my reader for fiction and commuting. I would probably choose an a device with a large e-ink screen over the i-pad if I were satisfied that with it's mark-up capabilities, however. The only "extras" I could see myself using on the ipad is the comic viewer and internet.
