Funny maths of a casual encounter:
I happened to stumble upon a last minute auction in eBay Germany for an iPad. The lucky owner
has decided to shell out the nice quantity of €979, to which he'll have to add the cost of the appropiate US-EU electric adapter, for a total of €1000. He's paid that for a device which costed, in the US, and assuming it didn't take any tariffs with it, $699. The exchange rate being 1,33 to 1 aproximately, €1000 are circa $1330, almost doubling the original US value of the thing. Talk about impulse buying.
