What have you done to get that error?

The DRM of that book is registered to dad through his account. If you haven't reregistered yet, then all you have to do is register your computer under dad's account name and you can redownload the book. (If you do, the manage devices list under "My Account"- in the Sony Reader Store - will show 2 computers and 1 Reader now.) You may also have to install ADE on your computer.

(Remember that ADE and the Sony log in and password have to be exactly the same for them to work together.)

EDIT: Anyone else have some ideas?
