I think my unit came with the 1.8.9_R3 already installed - do you know how to tell?
I've tried the new UI ("Silverlight") and I kind of like it. It bothered me that I had to double-click on everything; with Silverlight, all the desktop items are single-click, and I think that's nicer. I wish there was some way to do more customization, though - I don't know how to add additional "tabs", or organize the desktop items like you could in the 'normal' Windows environment....
